IN THE BEGINNING

Family are the reason we are here today.

In 1994, good Greek food was hard to find. Savvas Ktori (or Dad as we like to call him) found a gap in the market and opened

Dionysos, a Greek restaurant in Arnold.

Years later Dad sold the company in 2001, to help his sons George and Michael

start their own venture.

We've never looked back.

SOMETHING NEW

We could see eating trends were changing and little was happening in London. There was a need for traditional meze, taking influence from many countries in the Mediterranean.

That's why in 2008, we opened YAMAS.

 Since beginning this exciting journey,

we have been fortunate enough to build a loyal fanbase of tapas loving residents,

in the heart of Nottingham.

OUR INSPIRATION

The ladies in our family

are the reason why our food tastes so good.

As children, we spent our summer holidays in Cyprus with our grandparents, aunties,

uncles and cousins.

Here we experienced what Greek cuisine had to offer and was taught how to season, cook and prepare meats and fish.

VegAn FOOD

IS A MUST

Due to our Greek orthodox upbringing we only ate vegan food on Wednesdays and Fridays. This allowed us to learn and appreciate the delicious variety of natural plant based flavours. Soon we were cooking with lentils, gigantes and chickpeas.

BIGGER AND

BETTER

The city has been good to us. We have outgrown our kitchen because of the demand.

Our customers keep coming back and give us hope for a brighter future.

The longevity of what once was

"our little restaurant" sets to be a graceful one as we expand into next door.

In 2020 our 80 cover restaurant will serve 120 friends, family and loved ones.

It's funny because we sold Dionysos to downsize our operation. YAMAS has taken a life of its own and we can't wait to see where it will take us.
